When your beloved animal’s health is declining, even a few hours can feel overwhelming. You may be watching closely for changes, struggling with difficult emotions, or simply wishing you did not have to sit through this tender time alone.
Hourly Support & Loving Vigil offers calm, compassionate presence in your home during your pet’s final days or periods of significant decline. I am there to support both you and your animal with patience, gentleness, and respect for the bond you share.
During our time together, I can help create a peaceful and comfortable environment, assist you in organizing questions and concerns for your veterinarian, offer emotional support, help family members prepare for what may come, and remain quietly present while you rest, reflect, or spend meaningful time with your pet.
Support may include:
Calm companionship during periods of decline
Emotional support for pet parents and family members
Help preparing questions for your veterinarian
Guidance in creating a peaceful resting space
Comfort-focused planning and meaningful final moments
Support with letters, keepsakes, paw prints, or farewell rituals
Gentle presence during a veterinarian-led in-home euthanasia
Short periods of vigil support so you can shower, eat, rest, or attend to essential needs so your pet never have to be left alone
Help communicating with children or other family members in an age-appropriate and compassionate way
This service may be scheduled by the hour or in extended blocks, depending on your family’s needs and my availability.
You do not need to entertain me, prepare your home, or have everything figured out before I arrive. I will meet you exactly where you are, with compassion, without judgment, and with deep respect for the love you have for your animal.
Starting rate: $65.00/hour - Minimum of 2 hours
Additional hours and package hours will vary based on your individual needs.
***Hourly doula support is nonmedical and does not replace veterinary care. I do not diagnose conditions, administer medication, determine when euthanasia is medically necessary, or provide emergency veterinary services. All medical concerns and decisions must be directed to a licensed veterinarian.
